Charcoal technique workshop with Marirose Pritchard

Throughout the history of Art, artists have worked with pigments and natural materials, charcoal is unique in its drawing sensitivity combined with drama.

In this workshop we shall work on a variety of tasks to explore this multifaceted drawing media. Building skills and techniques while drawing different subjects, you will be able to realise a finished study by the end of the session.

The session is taught through demonstration and one to one feedback. You will be supported in creating studies using your own style and sensitivity to charcoal as a media. By sampling all the materials on offer included in the ticket price, you will have the freedom to try out a huge range of different papers, charcoal products and their applications.
